Wells Collins is a highly-acclaimed brand designer based in Denver, Colorado with a passion for creating logos, bespoke wordmarks, and comprehensive brand systems. He is best known for his custom type and hand lettered works. His style adapts to the needs of his clients and the spirit of the work itself. He finds inspiration in everything from furniture design, to restaurant match books.

With a focus on collaboration and iteration, Wells believes that great design is a product of a shared creative process. He has worked with a diverse range of clients from all over the world, including coffee shops, restaurants, fin-tech startups, cannabis ventures, and he’s even helped brand other agencies find their look. His versatility and ability to adapt to new industries and design problems has made him a sought-after designer in his field.

    I love to design all styles of logos, but I’ve found that my specialty is wordmark logo design. The "word mark", is the brand name styled as a logo. The advantage of this is obvious - it immediately associates a business name with the visual identity and does not leave much room for brand confusion. Creating the letters from scratch with subtle identifiers allows the type to stand alone as a symbol for the brand.
